Danish Twist is yet to appear at the races in 2017, but remains an outright $3.90 favourite in Breeders Classic betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Danish Twist has been a strong and consistent performer throughout her entire racing career so far but announced herself to the greater Australian racing community via a dominant win in the Provincial Championship Final (1400m) during The Championships last autumn.

Progressing to consecutive wins in the Hawkesbury Ladies Day Cup (1300m) Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) and Listed June Stakes (1100m), the Dane Shadow mare was returned to the paddock after finishing eight in the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) in Brisbane.

Danish Twist made three starts in spring and while running a credible third in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) first-up, was unable to make much of an impact and was returned to the paddock.

Egyptian Symbol has continued to firm in 2017 Breeders Classic betting markets and is now the sole occupant of the second line, at $4.60 odds.

Resuming in spring for a smart win in the Group 3 Nivison Stakes (1200m), Egyptian Symbol was sent for a freshen-up after she faded late for fifth in the Group 3 Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes (1400m) on Melbourne Cup Day.

Resuming this time for a smart win in the Wyong Magic Millions 3&4YO Guineas (1200m) on December 22nd, the Stratum mare was unable to get into the race when sixth in the Magic Millions Plate (1300m) on January 14th but is reportedly primed for a return to winning form on Saturday.

Flippant has so-far received the greatest share of attention from punters in 2017 Breeders’ Classic betting markets; firming into outright third-favouritism at a $5 quote.

Flippant was returned to the paddock for a freshen up after she won the Listed MSS Security Sprint (1200m) on Melbourne Cup Day, and the Hinchinbrook mare appears to have built to the task through two starts this time.

Corey Brown will take the ride on Flippant in the Breeders’ Classic, from the rails draw and with only 54kgs in tow.
