Chris Waller will launch a two-pronged attack in the feature race after confirming both French Emotion and Tsaritsa in the 2017 Breeders Classic field.

French Emotion was a standout performer for Waller through the recent Spring Carnival and was unlucky not to post a maiden win at the highest level of racing.

Claiming her first stakes win in the Group 2 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on October 2nd, the Snitzel mare failed to fire when she ran sixth in the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) but ended her season a close second in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) on Derby Day.

Having trialled well in the lead-up to her 2017 return, French Emotion will leave from barrier 6 and is sure to receive a great ride from leading hoop Hugh Bowman.

Tsaritsa was kept to light duties in spring and could very well receive the run of the race first-up on Saturday, after drawing into the 2017 Breeders Classic field in barrier 3.

The Dane Shadow mare undoubtedly found career-best form to date through the 2016 Brisbane Carnival; highlighted by a smart win in the Group 2 Queensland Guineas (1600m) and third in the Listed Daybreak Lover Stakes (1400m).

Danish Twist was one of the performers of the 2016 Autumn Carnival and has been confirmed to make her competitive return in the Breeders Classic.

Danish Twist posted four-consecutive race wins through autumn and winter last year; including the Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) and Listed June Stakes (1100m), but returned to the paddock after finishing mid-pack in the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m).

Godolphin Australia is represented in the Breeders Classic field by Circular, while Egyptian Symbol will look to return to winning form following a disappointing run in the Magic Millions Plate (1300m) last time out.

The Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Flippant will leave from the rails draw in the Breeders Classic, while formed mare I Am Zelady has been charged with overcoming the outside gate.
